The old way:

Load a print driver on the server for every user's individual printer. When it doesn't work, edit the wtsuprn.inf file. When it still doesn't work, try another print driver. 1) User logs on and establishes Citrix session. At that time their local print dialog is replicated in the session.

2) User chooses to print a document. Their familiar printers appear in the print dialog, and they choose their printer.

3) On the server, Simplify Printing v4 intercepts the print job in raw format, and redirects it to the client machine. No print driver on the server has been accessed.

4) On the client machine, Simplify Printing v4 receives the print job, and sends it to the local print driver chosen by the user.

5) All print processing is moved off of the server onto the client PC, using the print driver installed on the client.
